Hello, I'm Hanna
What I love about teaching for BYEP
I love being able to hold space for others as they take time for themselves, tune into their bodies, and practice self-care. I also deeply value the opportunity to give back to the same program that provided me with a consistent yoga practice in a safe, supportive BIPOC community.

A cool fact about me
I recently started a podcast called Living in Tune through The Media Factory. It explores living well, finding balance, and staying inspired each week through conversations and music. It airs live on Fridays from 2–3 PM on WBTV-LP 99.3 FM and will soon be available on streaming platforms.
About my teaching and classes
My teaching style centers around a gentle flow that allows people to move with intention, connect to their breath, and take time to settle into each pose. I like to allow some flexibility in my style based on the season, the energy in the room, and my own authentic presence, ensuring that I’m holding space in a way that feels genuine. All of my classes are beginner-friendly and offer variations so everyone can practice in a way that feels best for them.

My experience as a BYEP attendee
I began attending BYEP classes in college as a way to help manage anxiety. It quickly became something I looked forward to and shared with friends. With limited financial flexibility at the time, it was such a gift to have access to free yoga and to experience different teachers and styles. Having the space dedicated to BIPOC participants allowed me to show up as my authentic self, without needing to code-switch, and truly find grounding and regulation during that time.
