Hello, I'm Vanessa!
What do you love about teaching for the BYEP?

To connect, share and hold space is a sincere privilege and I am fortunate to have been able to offer these kinds of spaces for over a decade. Being with everyone really fills up my cup and warms my heart.
Share a cool/interesting fact about you.

My start with yoga was not through asana practice. My journey to yoga began with meditation through the Karmê Chöling meditation center when I was in high school through a World Religion's Course when I was 17. I started to formally practice asana in the Hatha tradition when I was in my first year in undergrad while studying at the University of Vermont.

Tell us about your teaching/classes you are offering for the BYEP.

I'll be offering Move & Restore classes which are a combination of an energizing vinyasa flow in the first part of class followed by a half-hour of gentle restorative postures to relax into with the support of props. All classes include a workshop/demonstration at the start of class on our "home pose". Every class includes a guided body scan while in savasana to integrate our practice.
No experience is necessary! Come as you are and enjoy.
